Born in Sindri (Dhanbad), he grew up across Vadodara, Benaras, and Kolkata, and has worked in major cities including Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolkata, and Bengaluru—experiences that enrich his storytelling. His wife, Sujata, is in the teaching profession.
